Congressman Derrick Van Orden is excited to invite students, parents, and teachers to an Academy Day event on Saturday, May 10^th in La Crosse. The event will be held at the Radisson Hotel from 10:00 a.m. – Noon. Academy Day is an opportunity for Third Congressional District students and their parents/guardians to familiarize themselves with the U.S. Service Academy Nomination process. Attendees will have the chance to hear from and speak to military branches representing their academies.

The U.S. service academies are an opportunity to serve our country, while also receiving a world-class education. Students must meet eligibility requirements and receive a nomination from at least one of their state’s Congressional Delegation, the Vice President, or the President of the United States. We encourage all students to attend, whether they have a high interest in an academy appointment or would like to explore this as an option as they consider their future educational opportunities.
