High School Special Education Teacher Email Phone: 608-464-3165 ext. 165 Professionally: This is my third year at Wonewoc. It is my hope to help each student understand that high school is where they develop their natural talents, increase skills, refine career interest, and begin mapping their future. I have the honor of providing the resources they need to be successful.
This can look like supporting them in their current classes, building on executive functioning, social, study, or life skills they are developing. I also help them learn accountability, increase their ability to sustain academic time, and/or instruct them for Math, English, Science or Social Studies courses.
I believe in focusing on how we are all differently-abled, however I also understand the importance of supporting my students in their very real needs. My goal is growth and I believe in challenging my students to see . . . yes they can!
Homelife: I live in Reedsburg with my husband. Together, we have 9 adult children and 16 grandchildren. We feel blessed and thankful to call ourselves a second chance family, meaning God has given us a second chance at marriage and building a family together. My faith is a big part of who I am. While I do not bring religion to my classroom, it is the principles of Jesus and my faith in Him that shape my dedication, tenacity, and compassion for my students. It is my faith that gives me hope to believe I can make a difference.
After School Club: I am also the advisor of the P7 middle school/high school Bible club. P7 stands for Project 7, seven being the years of 6th - 12th grade. It is a club designed to help support and encourage students in their faith during those impressionable years. (The club will start in January after Christmas break.)
