Hello! My name is Mrs. Hill, and I’m proud to be in my 22nd year of teaching and my 6th year here at Wonewoc-Center School. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K-8) from Illinois State University, with an emphasis in Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts.

My husband, Nate, and I live in Wonewoc with our children—Jonathan(16), Lucas(15), and Bella(14). Our oldest daughter, Hannah(20), is currently a sophomore at UW-Stout to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy. She also plays on the Women's Rugby Team. I miss her tremendously, but I know she’s off to do great and mighty things!

When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, drinking coffee, snuggling with our cat Dilly, traveling, (especially to the beach to collect seashells), camping, hiking, cheering on my kids and students in sports, watching NFL football ( Go Packers!) and college basketball, coaching, thrift shopping, and collecting flair pens. And yes—pineapple does belong on Hawaiian pizza, one of my other favorites! One of our favorite family mottos is: "Whatever you do, do it well." which has helped and guided me to where I am today.

I’m so excited to welcome your child to Room 107 this year! Our classroom theme is “Moving Mountains,” and my goal is to help each student reach new heights in both academics and personal growth. This year, we’ll dive into multiplication and division while strengthening our problem-solving skills. In reading and language arts, we'll enjoy classic tales, poetry, build vocabulary, improve reading comprehension, and learn how to identify an author's purpose and message. Students will also grow as writers by creating narratives, opinion pieces, and informational writing while learning how to organize their ideas, support them with details, and write with confidence.

In science, we'll explore animal classification, the human body, astronomy, and even become creative inventors through hands-on learning. In social studies, we'll travel through history as we learn about Ancient Rome, the Viking Age, Native American cultures, early North American exploration, and geography.

I can't wait to partner with you to make this a successful, memorable, and fun-filled school year. Together, we'll encourage every child to work hard, believe in themselves, and discover that they can truly move mountains!

It’s always a great day to be a WOLF—and I look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
